How to Explode your Business with the Power of Pictures- Why you should use Instagram to build your brand
Online Marketing is a simple concept. Believe in your product, program or the service that you offer. Unfortunately, No matter how good it is it does no one any good if no one knows about it.
So in a world of fierce competition, an abundance of products, and with social media advertisements overpowering Consumers- How do you take your products and Business and make them stand out above all the others?
You start reading articles on building your business – you take product training – do the legal stuff- build your website- set up your Social Media….
And then wait…. and wait.
All the Facebook ads make it seem so easy. If you build it they will come. The ads say that you will get 10,000 Followers in 30 days and you will make $50,000 a month if you just…. Really???
So what can you really do to boost your business and not have to remortgage your house to pay for advertising??
Get Creative! Use Pictures to tell your story.
Think back to when your children were little and all of their books had pages that were filled with bright colorful pictures with only a few words. No huge plot or cliffhangers but they kept your child’s attention. And If they were like my kids, they chose those same picture books over and over.
With busy schedules and an overload of social media to look at, people are going back to their childhood roots where picture stories are the best stories.

Here are a couple of examples of Small Businesses that use Instagram. As I talked about in both my Email Marketing Course and in my Instagram Marketing Course, these businesses use pictures to tell a story in a way that keeps their audience coming back. On top of that, they use the comment section to build customer engagement. Take a look.

Urban Outfitters Best is known for their clothing line but also sells Home decor products as well as Music/ Tech and a unique Beauty product line. Along with their7 Million followers, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how OU has done a really good job of connecting Instagram to its main website with the UO Community Page.
The genius about this page is that it connects back to selling products, where clicking on an image on the page will pull up links to the product pages on the Urban Outfitter’s website where you can buy them.
The last example I want to share is LetterFolk
A Husband and Wife team that has built a Business around creating and crafting Artwork Letterboards. A very simple product that comes in different sizes and includes basic white letters and punctuation. The Genius of it is the marketing. LetterFolk has taken the product and given consumers a visual on ways to use it for both business and home decor.
I love how Letterfolk brings their product to life with photos where the everyday consumer can see how the product will fit into their own lives. This is a great example of how Instagram works for small business.
Pictures are powerful. Sometimes more powerful than words.
